Ames reports chinch bug risk in western Iowa for 1941
Preliminary survey results from the Ames entomology department indicate western Iowa may face a moderate to large scale chinch bug infestation in 1941 depending on spring weather. A long wet spring could lessen the outbreak and reduce impact. In Linn County Iowa a separate notice calls for a hearing on establishment of a secondary road district with gravel surface to serve multiple landowners in township 19-82-7 and adjacent sections. The hearing before the Board of Supervisors will be held at 2 00 PM on April 22, 1941 in Cedar Rapids Iowa.
