Cedar Ridge named Distillery of the Year in national award
Cedar Ridge Distillery in Swisher Iowa was named Distillery of the Year by the American Distilling Institute. The honor, announced April 4, places Cedar Ridge among 1,300 craft whiskey distilleries nationwide, driven by quality grain to glass production and owner involvement in state legislation. The firm produces whiskey and wine, with plans to expand on site service and daily production. Cedar Ridge Bourbon earned a San Francisco World Spirits gold medal, citing corn from the Quint family farm nearby Winthrop.
