Girl Suffers Three Vertebrae Fractures In Highway Crash
Miss Mildred Meyocks 21 of 1447 Fourth Ave SE sustained fractures of three vertebrae after the car she rode in with Donald Meyocks 19 and John G Wittengle 23 left Highway No 30 four miles west of Cedar Rapids. Wittengle the driver suffered neck cuts and bruises. Meyocks brother had a broken left wrist. Sheriff James H Smith reported the car ran off the softened shoulder and overturned about 150 yards from Dead Man's curve at about 55 mph. The injured were taken to Mercy hospital. Meyocks was listed in good condition Monday morning.
