Adrian Givens watched through smoke as firefighters fought a Wednesday blaze at 1019 Ninth Ave SE Cedar Rapids. The Cedar Rapids Fire Department took about an hour to control the fire, declaring the home a total loss. A 6 month old and four adults were evacuated unharmed. Keith Bowman 31 was rescued by his brother and nearby workers after attempting to escape through a first floor window.
