Augusta style par four with deep bunkers and uphill dogleg

The hole features a right dogleg with a deep 300 yard carry, trees left, and two left side bunkers. Players favor 3 iron or 3 wood to stay short of four bunkers and to avoid the L shaped green with severe right to left slope. The hole has been lengthened by 20 yards and fairway bunkers extended 80 yards toward the green. The green is guarded by two front bunkers and trees complicate drives toward the right. Reduced by hazard, the best tee shot avoids trouble to produce a strong approach into a green protected by multiple bunkers. The recap notes Augusta style toughness and lists past Masters champions after the round.
