They say Jan and Roberta DeBoer gained temporary custody on Feb 25 1991 without proper authority.
In Ann Arbor Michigan a steady team of about 100 volunteers backs Jan and Roberta DeBoer who seek to keep Jessica DeBoer with the couple who raised her since birth. The child born February 1991 in Cedar Rapids was initially awarded to her biological parents after Iowa court decisions, then Michigan action kept her with the DeBoers. The Michigan Court of Appeals recently reversed a prior ruling.
