Slow Art Day invites Cedar Rapids visitors to study five works
The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art hosts Slow Art Day with five works including Grant Wood's Woman with Plants from 1929. Participants will spend ten minutes per piece then discuss insights in a global contemplative event spanning galleries from London to Sydney.

Slow Art Day returns to the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Visitors pick up a viewing list at the front desk and spend about 50 minutes examining five pieces before meeting at the Cedar Rapids Public Library for a midday discussion. Substance abuse assessments offered on National Alcohol Screening Day
