Key witness recalls path from Morocco to crime in terrorism case
Government witness Youssef Hmimssa testified about arriving in the United States in 1994 from Morocco and later turning to credit card fraud in Chicago before his 2001 arrest in Cedar Rapids. He used aliases Patrick Vuillaume and Edgardo Colon and described how he recorded card data from taxi passengers and sold stolen electronics, while prosecutors say the four defendants sought his help to forge documents for illegal entry.
