All Aboard the Space Station
The United States and Russia lead 16 partners on the ISS with missions in cramped quarters and microgravity. Three to seven crew members will live months in a space about the size of a jumbo jet, where air moves slowly and water is recycled. They train on Earth for survival in arctic cold and jungle heat and may even eat lizards.
