Hagens Create Local Lawn Ornament Biz From Yard Art
Bud and Violet Hagen of Marengo built a thriving lawn ornament business from their own yard art. The couple, both 65, began with bears butterflies and birds after moving from Denison three years ago. Their painted wooden pieces sell for 30 per set of three and draw visitors from across the country including California and Amana.
