Cancer Crusade kicks off in Cedar Rapids and Marion

More than 2,000 Cancer Crusade volunteers in Cedar Rapids and Marion begin a six day effort to reach every home. Volunteers distribute an educational leaflet on cancer risks and early detection tests while a Linn County program continues with coffee gatherings and a KCRG-TV presentation to start the campaign.

Pink Dragon plays at Harding Junior High School

Harding Junior High presents The Pale Pink Dragon by the Odyssey drama troupe with shows at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday in the school auditorium 4801 Golf St NE. Performances include a shortened version at area elementary schools this week.
