Cedar Rapids Adopts Air Pollution Ordinance 26
The Cedar Rapids City Council passes Ordinance No 20 repealing Chapter 26 and enacting a new Air Pollution Chapter 26 establishing definitions boards and enforcement for air pollution control. It designates Linn County Health Department as the Air Pollution Control Agency and lays out permits testing fines and penalties with extensive emission standards and public hearing procedures.
