Iowa Senate Confirms Pawlewski Health Chief and Regents

Iowa Health Commissioner Norman Pawlewski won Senate confirmation for a third four year term by a 43 to 5 vote amid charges of mismanagement. The Senate also approved four new members to the State Board of Regents by 47 to 1, including Peg Anderson of Bettendorf, who faced ERA opposition. The House backed a major overhaul of Iowa's judicial districts.
