Man helps others after mother Becky Hauser’s 1994 murder
Josh Hauser and his wife Beth donated 50 Becky Baskets to Horizon's Homicide Survivors in Cedar Rapids to aid children coping with loss. The project grew from his own grief after Becky Hauser, 32, of Union, was killed during a 1994 robbery by four teens posing as police. He credits therapy and sharing his story with his family for healing, and he hopes to make the baskets an annual effort with support from relatives and donors.
