7‑Eleven to Buy Sunoco Stores for 3.3 Billion In Texas Expansion
7-Eleven will acquire 1,110 Sunoco convenience stores mainly on the East Coast and in Texas for 3.3 billion dollars. The deal adds Houston market presence and a fully developed taco menu via Laredo Taco Co and Stripes trademarks. Sunoco will focus on gasoline supply, with 2.2 billion gallons a year contracted, and about 200 North and West Texas stores sold separately. The transaction boosts 7-Eleven to about 9,815 U.S. and Canadian stores and expands growth in Florida, the mid-Atlantic, the Northeast, and Central Texas.
