EEOC sues Henry's Turkey over abuse of disabled Iowa workers
The EEOC filed a federal suit against Henry's Turkey Service alleging that developmentally disabled workers, hired through Henry's Turkey to staff West Liberty Foods, were abused and underpaid. The case cites verbal and physical harassment, unlawful wage deductions, substandard living conditions, and neglect of medical care. A separate Labor Department action seeks 1.7 million in back wages.
