Linn-Mar students near goal for Hearts fundraiser
Linn-Mar Middle School students raised funds for the American Heart Association with Hoops for Hearts events on Wednesday and Thursday. Last year the school topped state fund-raisers with nearly $14,000, and this year they aim for $15,000 with $14,618 raised by week’s end. The drive honors assistant principal Jeff Schneekloth who survived a heart attack last summer. Top fundraiser was Jessica Wallis with over $1,000.
