Frank Bednar a lifelong Cedar Rapids resident and Cherry Burrell Corp. employee until retirement died Thursday night after a brief illness. Born March 20 1878 in Cedar Rapids he married May Olver July 12 1926 at Rock Island Ill. He leaves daughter Mrs Norris Hunt and son Earl Olver both of Cedar Rapids eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was affiliated with Eden United Church of Christ Burial in Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the chapel.
Mrs Louis Jiricek former Cedar Rapids resident died Thursday at LaGrange Park Illinois Surviving husband a son Louis in South Bend Indiana a daughter Mrs Frank Nash Berwyn Illinois and four sisters Bertha Sisler Mrs Leona Oldfield Mrs Beryl Averill all of Cedar Rapids and Mrs Edward Keppen of Colorado Services will be held Saturday in Berwyn.
