Court of Appeals upholds Cusic murder conviction
The Iowa Court of Appeals confirmed the Linn County jury's second degree murder verdict against Edward Cusic for killing his mother Anita Labkon with a crowbar in Cedar Rapids on December 7, 2012. The court rejected his appeals about witness testimony and due process, noting the defense of diminished capacity and intoxication was addressed and any error was harmless.
