Kidnapped heir Kenneth Young freed after $250000 ransom paid
The 11 year old son of Herbert Young, president of Gibraltar Savings and Loan, was abducted from his Beverly Hills home Monday and released Thursday after a $250000 ransom. FBI confirmed the amount and began nationwide notes of the $100 Federal Reserve bills. The boy waited in a car in Santa Monica after being bound and blindfolded before wandering to an apartment to call his parents. Authorities believe the abductor knew about an outside stair door near the boy's bedroom.
