Foundation Work at Franklin Addition Requires Concrete Caissons
The Benjamin Franklin junior high addition foundation will use concrete caissons due to wet clay. The Roosevelt addition work is separate. Max Mildenstein’s contract increases from 7000 to 7300 dollars for this foundation. Caissons will be set on rock about twelve feet below the clay with reinforced concrete at ten dollars per cubic yard plus ten percent overhead. An extra $194 was approved to alter Roosevelt addition foundation work, also by Mildenstein. At Tama High, the basketball squad was honored at a Senior Honorary club banquet with speeches by school leaders and guests. In Troy Mills, I C Steele sold his store and residence to Clarence Price for 1500 dollars. Price plans a garage and filling station, while Steele moves.
