Hayes Pupils Shine In Community Night Programs At School
Primary youngsters from Hayes school contributed to Community Night on Wednesday and Thursday. A twenty seven member chorus performed Wednesday with rhythm groups and led selections. Joe Ainsworth a 16 year old Franklin pupil waited all night for Amelia Earhart during her Cedar Rapids visit last October. They spoke after her lecture in Iowa City planning a possible tandem bicycle trip to Mexico via the Pan American highway while Earhart expects to attend her next lecture.

The playground commission sponsors kite building classes for boys and girls next week at two sites.
