Belgian police arrest protesters in Brussels clashes
Belgian police detained seven protesters after a tense standoff with youths in Molenbeek where a planned far right demonstration was banned. Riot police faced a crowd of 300 to 400, water cannons stood by, and a car struck a pedestrian as officers maintained control. In central Brussels anti racist demonstrators gathered near the stock exchange to remember the 32 victims of March 22 attacks.

Belgian prosecutors said a third suspect identified as Y.A. has been charged in a bid to attack France. The Belgian citizen, born May 4, 1982, was arrested Friday as part of the same case that led to Reda Kriket’s March 24 arrest near Argenteuil and two Belgian arrests for alleged collusion. Rabah M. and Abderahmane Ameroud, both Algerians, were held March 25 in Brussels.
