Jennifer Park of Cedar Rapids was injured when her car swerved to avoid a merging vehicle on I-380. The vehicle slid into a west ditch and rolled, Park transported to University Hospitals in Iowa City. Vehicle damage listed at $3000. Charges pending.
Paul Doty aged 23 was arrested Friday on assault and injury charges after police say he grabbed a four year old girl by the arm and neck during babysitting at his Cedar Rapids home. The child showed neck bruising and the Iowa Department of Human Services was notified.
