Eisenhower to address nation on TV and radio Monday

President Eisenhower will deliver a nationwide extemporaneous address Monday night on critical international and domestic questions. The program will be broadcast 7:30 to 8 p.m. CST on NBC CBS and ABC and 9:30 to 10 p.m. on ABC NBC and CBS radio networks, with a follow up talk from Attorney General Brownell next Friday. The White House described the talk as a public calmative after a March 17 news conference outlining fears and hysteria. President at Camp David working from a preliminary draft with family nearby and a visit to Gettysburg battlefield en route.

Arrests Blamed On Aching Tooth

Paul Rides the Horse, 28, of Prior, Montana, told a police judge that his five drunkenness arrests this year stem from a toothache remedy his friend recommended. He said the tooth has ached for three months and he poured whisky on it whenever it hurt.

Sears In Unless Solid Evidence Yielded

Senator Mundt said Samuel P. Sears will be Senate counsel in the McCarthy army dispute unless solid evidence bars him. Senate investigators plan to question Sears on 1952 pro McCarthy statements. Mundt says dismissal only with sufficient grounds. Defense appoints Joseph M. Welch to represent the army in the inquiry.
