Nitrates Rise With Rainfall Od Iowa Water Sensors
The Iowa water sensor network shows 40 percent of 61 sensors in 2016 exceeded the 10 mg/L federal nitrate limit on daily average. Manchester spring posted 17.8 mg/L, while Iowa River averaged 7.9 mg/L and Raccoon River reached 11.5 at Sac City and 10.7 at Jefferson.
