Wally Wallaby Still On The Lam In Iowa
A runaway pet wallaby named Wally continues at large near Waterloo after escaping Tuesday night. Sightings persist as authorities note the animal can move at 30 to 40 mph and carry a $100 reward for its capture. The two year old, 2 % foot tall kangaroo escaped from Alvin and June Hansen between Waterloo and Washburn, with warnings that it can deliver a strong kick and that tail grabs or a large net are the safest capture methods.
