Casper has installed the Gamewell electrical fire alarm box system with thirty boxes city wide. The system joins a capable volunteer fire company with an auto hose wagon and chemical extinguisher to reduce water damage. Fort Collins firm lays four miles of new mains at about 20000 dollars, boosting water capacity and prompting plans to raise the reservoir wall.

Oil leaders visit Natrona to inspect Casper oil fields

A Midwest company president A M Johnson and Continental Oil executives with W T Cleaver and Mr Milne arrived from New York for an official inspection tour of the Salt Creek area. They looped Molde iin and were driven by Midwest Motors, returning to New York Tuesday. The visitors praised Casper prospects and predicted growth for Wyoming oil.

Fraud Attempt Targets Casper Sheepman by Two Con Men

Two men named F. B Albertero and Frank Witney, one Mexican and one American, arrived in Casper and posed as buyers to cheat sheepman Lewis Barker. Albertero's $1,000 Sheridan check bounced. Birney and Barker pursued the scheme to Glenrock and Douglas. One suspect was captured. the Mexican escaped. The case stalled after funds were not honored.

Found Dead on Range Near Moneta

A badly decomposed body of a man, apparently a hunter, was found four miles northeast of Moneta last Friday by a rider on the range. The remains hung at a sagebrush edge and had been exposed for some time. No identification could be made, and a decent burial was arranged at the find site.

Injured Pedestrian Struck by Automobile in City

Wille crossing at Walcott and Third avenue Saturday night, DK Miller was struck by a car driven by Dr Kamp and Dan Gerously injured. Miller sustained a fractured ankle and facial injuries. He was treated at Dr Dean's residence and later at Dr Lathrop's office and is gradually improving.

Controversy Settled in Capitol TH Foreclosure Sale

The foreclosure of the Capitol TH lots and lands of the A T Butler estate failed to occur after parties reached an equitable settlement. Butler, as administratrix, redeemed the land with cash and other valuable considerations to satisfy Henry L White. Mrs Butler impressed as a capable businesswoman guiding the deal to a successful end amid grief.

State Branch Hospital to Open. Forsyth Visits Casper

Open November First. State Auditor Robert B. Forsyth arrives in Casper with head nurse Martha A. Converse to arrange for the opening of the state branch hospital. Converse and Miss Daly will oversee furniture placement and remain until the hospital opens to the public early next month. A Cheyenne meeting of the state board of charities will decide superintendent and staff appointments next week.

Four Year Old Kilmer Moore Injured in Horse Accident

Kilmer Moore the four year old son of A Moore section foreman at Cadows twelve miles west of Casper lies in a Casper hospital in critical condition after a fall from a horse. The child struck his head and suffered a severe brain concussion. Dr W H Lathrop treated him and an idle engine moved by Northwestern staff brought him to the hospital. He has been unconscious several days but shows signs of recovery.

Tramway to Build Near Tunnel to Mountain Foot

Henry C Heeler of North America Asbestos, arrived from Casper after several days here tending the company’s interests. He said tramway work will start soon to connect the tunnel with the mountain foot, improving ore transport to Casper for shipment.

Reverend Hicks Appointed State Penitentiary Chaplain

Rev Hicks, former pastor of the Methodist church in Casper, received appointment as chaplain at the state penitentiary from Governor Carey. The Riverton pastor J Mieke announced the news. Hicks has many friends in Casper who will be pleased by the upgrade of his duties.
