Mighty Gusher Boosts Franco Wyoming Wells Price

Franco Wyoming Oil Company reports a mighty gusher on its Dutch property section 21 township 4 range 70 throwing off 10 feet and spouting sixty five times the first day. The well is capped pending refinery and storage, but continuous oil shows from depth and casing spills occur around the rig. The discovery marks the fourth gusher in three weeks from the company, with each of 100 to 2000 barrels daily, prompting rapid drilling of three more nearby wells and plans for six additional wells per Paris headquarters.

Oil Boom Moves as Franco Wyoming Expands Wells

The Franco Wyoming company will start six new wells immediately and expand drilling at Natrona Pipe Line Co projects. Location of Wyoming Children's Home Seeks Site

G L Mills superintendent of the Wyoming Children's Home was in Wheatland on business with the executive board to decide permanent location. The board considers offers for a site, including a full block offered by Mrs M Elma Butler of Mountain Realty for the home, though irrigation would rely on city water.

Death in Casper Mountain Area Leaves Community Reverent

The body of Fred Schacht, a well known Casper figure, was found on a Tuesday in Sheep Canyon near the Casper mountain west end, about twelve miles from the city. Missing for weeks, neighbors organized a searching party and located him. It is believed he fell from a cliff and died. DN Sprague recovered the body Wednesday and he was buried Thursday from Wood and Fushay undertaking rooms.

Cluster Lights for Casper Town Council Contract

Last Monday the Casper town council awarded Natrona County Electric a contract to furnish ornamental cluster lights. Five LongSten lamps on sleet corner poles and three lamps between streets with shades will line Center Street from Print avenue to the post office and East Secom avenue to Wolcott street. New poles will replace old ones at curb intervals about fifty feet with underground wiring. top lights burn after 11 p.m. until dawn while other lights are off.

Telephone Extension Plans for New Mountain States Exchange

O C Campbell district manager of Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph visits Casper on route to Shoshoni to finalize a modern exchange. Local manager A Cullen says a copper toll circuit will be wired between Casper and Cheyenne after year’s end, linking Denver, Omaha and intermediate points. A new copper feeder will extend west of Casper to Kemmerer, connecting at Kemmerer with the main line to Lake City for faster service to western towns.
