A cluttered Salt Creek field page reports nomadic Cherokee claimants, a smallpox case, a wild west exhibition, and multiple oil camp updates. It notes drillers striking artesian water, painting contracts, a league baseball opener, and community visits by county officials, with town trips and rail talk in Riverton and Casper.
Thirteen contractors submitted bids for the Nat tromm county high school project. Wise & Inman of Cheyenne won the general contract, Keefe Construction Co. secured plumbing and heating, and the total bid funds come from bond sales with remainder for furniture and grounds. Construction starts immediately and the building should be ready for the board by December 1.
The Republican reports Hon. J. A. Drelfelder has moved to the area and will construct large stock yards and a feeding pen locally. The plan eliminates the need to drive cattle to town and aims to streamline local livestock handling.
Casper stage set for a four day Fourth of July celebration with a grand parade featuring bears Indians cowboys and cowgirls and a Curtiss aircraft display. Daily at Athletic Park plan includes relays trick roping horse theft capture and hanging scenes with bands and Flying Moores performances. Night illumination dances and Coliseum shows planned with free street parades each day. Post Office robbers Frank Conners and John Williston sentenced to two years. Robert Pucker returned from Denver after business trips. Peak and Andrews opened a threemin barber shop in Allen’s pool hall. Eugene McCarty and Jerry Mahoney traveled to Douglas for U S land office work. James Th Bury spent two months in Denver and Colorado towns before returning home. Mrs Hawks injured a finger in a steam laundry accident. Mrs John Hammon traveled to Decatur for her father’s funeral and family affairs. Casper Industrial Club directors elected Ht Nichols secretary as A C Schroeder opens Allen pool hall on Center Street.
