Wyoming Livestock Quarantine Proclamation 1911
Wyoming Governor Josefu M. Caney issues a March 1911 quarantine restricting live stock imports for disease control. The order requires health certificates, tuberculin and mallein tests for cattle swine and other livestock, with penalties for noncompliance and provisions for quarantine and inspection fees.
Wyoming Quarantine Proclaimed for Cattle Disease
The State of Wyoming declares a quarantine for cattle in Converse Natrona and Laramie Counties due to the contagious disease seables mange or itch. Movement of cattle into any nonquarantined area is prohibited unless authorized by the State Veterinarian or deputy. Cheyenne March 9 2011 Governor Frank L Houx signed, with P MacGlashan deputy. John Eccles visited Powder River last Tuesday. A V M Cobb was in Cheyenne for film work.
