Penn Wyoming copper foreclosure sale proposed in Cheyenne

The Cheyenne Leader reports a foreclosure of first mortgage bonds exceeding three million dollars against the Penn Wyoming Copper Company and its successor the United Smelters Railway and Copper Company. A master in chancery will conduct the sale in Cheyenne, with parcels or the whole property offered to the highest bidder. If purchased, the buyer must repair and reopen the mine, tramway, and railroad to revive Encampment and benefit Wyoming investors.
