Denver Fighter Dick Gilbert Set for Fourth Clash

Dick Gilbert arrives with trainer Dr. Chas Maher ahead of his Fourth of July bout with Charles Williams. U S Asbestos Expert Visits Casper Mines

J S Diller government asbestos expert from the geological bureau arrived from Washington to inspect the Smith creek mines in Casper. He previously visited two years ago and again praises the prospects, calling Casper asbestos as fine as any he has seen and forecast fortune and fame for the town and state.

International Mills prep for Casper fiber mill at Smith creek

President A E Minium and supervisor HL Parker arrived in Casper to inspect the leased Smith creek property and test the new fiberizing mill before acceptance. Full operation planned by July with a large workforce to separate high priced fibre from serpentinite rock.

Deed Received for Casper High School Site

Mayor Kimball accepted a donated site from Judge Carey for the Natrona county district high school. The deed requires use for education and athletics, at least 41000 in improvements within a year, a start of building within three years, and completion within five years. The donation is praised as generous and timely.

Fire and Flood Tragedies Mark Rock Springs Losses

The Rock Springs items report WiIl Clarkson losing his Miller Creek home to a careless fire after lighting a pipe with a match and dropping it in a wood box. A two year old child of Mr. and Mrs. John Jamison drowned in the Fontenelle river after playtime in the yard. Levi Reese, a MW-year-old Elkol resident, died in a road accident near Elkol and Diamondville when a wagon accident tore him and a horse beneath wheels.
