Donnelly Named Public Printer Successor in Washington
Public Printer John Leech has sent his resignation to President Roosevelt and requests return to service in the Philippines. Samuel B. Donnelly of Brooklyn, former International Typographical Union president, is named to succeed Leech. Donnelly, born 1866 in Pennsylvania, rose from schoolteacher to printer, led the New York Typographical union, then the ITU, and served on arbitration boards and education panels.
