Wyoming produced the second largest wool clip in 1928 after Texas, with an estimated 26,550,000 pounds. The average fleece weighed 9.0 pounds, up from 8. something in 1927, driven by more sheep shorn and higher average weight. Prices remained stronger than in 1927, averaging about six cents above last year.
