Cattle Rustlers Face Arrest in Platte County

Samuel Convington and Thos. Gunnison are jailed with more arrests expected in the Platte County raid on a large cattle rustling ring. A. S. Roach and local officers uncovered the operation. Forty head of stolen cattle recovered, 28 with changed brands from the Diamond Bunch corp. Twenty four hides returned from Omaha as evidence.

Death of Twin Boys Shocks Glenrock Family

Dan and Don Clark two 15 month old twins of Mr and Mrs F B Clark of Glenrock died this week at a local hospital from infant malady. First death occurred Sunday with the second yesterday. The parents will take the bodies to Beaver Crossing Nebraska this afternoon. A B Allen of the Orrin Bynder Post Salt Creek spoke in Casper about I W W agitators in the oil fields and the arrest of seven men from Western Pipeline camp. Evidence gathered by Snyder Post led to prosecutions though some will escape temporarily. A warrant sworn for Frank Carr for stealing silverware from Western pipeline.

Grand Army Veterans March in Des Moines Annual Encampment Parade

About 15 000 surviving Grand Army of the Republic veterans marched in Des Moines in the annual encampment parade. They passed in review before officers and the American Legion Argonne post band, led by Lt Col Casper Rehenk, as they moved behind the head of the 148th infantry. The march recalled Civil War battles and the veterans pressed on despite thinning ranks.
