In Riverton Wyoming a druggist R D Richards shot and killed Lee Walters 17 after hearing someone at his store window shortly after midnight. The bullet passed through Walters head as another person fled. Earlier the same night a dry goods store and an ice cream parlor were looted, allegedly by Walters and an unnamed companion.
