Reports describe a violent clash after a mob gathered near Downing Street. Police dispersed the crowd with clubs as stones were thrown and chants echoed along Whitehall and Downing Street.

Alfred H. Beach of Newcastle will address a big Republican rally at Salt Creek recreation hall this evening. The Casper Glee Club of twenty members provides entertainment. county officials and candidates including Hazel Comes, Helen Carlson, Charles Anis, and Lyle Jay will attend. Casper guests travel in ten motor carloads, leaving after 3 o'clock, with Beach then addressing the Young Men’s Republican club at the Casper headquarters tomorrow evening.

Washington reports negotiations between the State Department and the Japanese ambassador over Japanese immigration and the proposed anti Japanese measure in California are continuing and have not been abandoned. The talks center on the implications of the law to be voted on November 2.
Constantinople dispatch reports General Wrangel's forces moving against Bolshevik troops in southern Russia. The communique claims several divisions have been engaged and many prisoners taken.
