Pilot John Woodward Killed In Cheyenne Plane Crash
Cheyenne Wyoming November 8 The first tragedy on the Cheyenne Salt Lake air mail division occurred Saturday afternoon when Pilot John P Woodward bound from Salt Lake to Cheyenne crashed into a mountain near Tie Siding forty miles west of the city. His body strapped in the wrecked plane was found Sunday afternoon. Coroner F B W Johnson of Albany County took charge and the remains were taken to Laramie. Postal workers left Cheyenne to recover mail and salvage the wreck. Weather and visibility hampered efforts and details were scarce. Woodward’s home was in Mitchell Town.
