W L Rehr Jr and D L Labreche acquire a substantial share of the R T Kemp Insurance business from Mrs Kemp who becomes company president. Rehr remains secretary and treasurer and Labreche joins as partner as the firm reorganizes under new ownership.
A historical note credits women with early healing knowledge and cites Lydia Pinkham and her Vegetable Compound as a notable example. The text argues that women understood medicinal plants, roots, and herbs long before men.
Breche takes active charge as vice president of the Cooper Insurance firm with full-time duties. Policies under late Mr Kemp will stay in force. LaBreche and Rohr, WWII veterans, bring broad connections and varied career backgrounds to the agency. C P Pilum mer, local attorney, concluded the deal.
