Reports from Chicago July 13 say the Forty-eighters and Labor party plan a joint session to finalize organization and platform for a new party uniting minority liberal and radical groups. They aim to elect president and vice president, repeal espionage laws, back labor rights, and recall federal judges with popular sovereignty.
Casper Odd Fellows take active role in Grand Lodge meetings in Riverton Wyoming opening this morning and running through Thursday. Attending are Grand Assembly Itohakahs and Grand Encampment members with local participation. Various sessions include openings, processions, receptions, and degrees led by Casper and Riverton officers.
Reuters report from La Paz states Bolivia's government under President Guerra has been toppled and the president and cabinet detained. Bautista Savedra takes power with army support, signaling a shift away from pro Chilean policy and aligning Bolivia with Peru.

The battleship Huron and three destroyers head to the nearest sea port to Pekin to shield Americans as factional fighting threatens the Chinese capital. The U S Navy department announced the move today amid unrest in Beijing.
Representatives of bituminous coal operators will meet railroad executives in New York to prepare a plan to ease the coal shortage. President Werte of the National Coal Association announced the plan today.
Sam Lee a Chinaman employed as a cook at the Bon Ton Cafe was struck by a truck near the Third street alley near Center and Walcott streets at about 10 15 o clock. He suffered a fractured left leg and deep lacera tions and was taken to Gasper Private Hospital where he was operated upon. Dr G S Bawden arrived shortly after and stated the man was struck as he walked from the alleyway. No report had been made to police headquarters.
A bellowed fossil skull of a prehistoric reptile was unearthed by Ben Grigge on his mining claim north of Cokeville while driving a tunnel. It will be sent to the University of Wyoming for identification. Mr and Mrs George Campbell and Mrs Nichols of Colorado plan a Mack Tile trip overland for the week.
In Chicago on July 13 the Committee of Forty-eight voted to join the National Labor party. A large Non Partisan league group and a delegation of single taxers joined the labor group, signaling a unified effort to form a new party. They discussed Plumb plan issues and a capital tax while pushing for public ownership and Democratic worker control of transportation and key industries. The joint Labor and Forty-Eighter gathering prepared for a first joint meeting and potential nominations that night.
About fifty delegates from forty eight districts, meeting to examine the Non Partisan League, announced their conclusions that farmers interests align with labor. William Romfer of South Dakota said they will unite with labor, fight with labor, and organize with labor.
London July 19 The special trades union congress defeated a proposal to use direct action to press the government to withdraw troops from Ireland and to stop manufacturing munitions for use in Ireland and Russia.
Bernard Geissler, chauffeur, shot and killed Mrs. Arthur B. De Cordova wife of a wealthy New York broker while driving with her in North Stanington. He then shot himself and died. The bodies were found beside the road. She had left a hotel for Groton with her son and daughter. Geissler had worked for the family for two years.
Report from Bantiago July 13 states revolutionary forces led by Savedra have ousted the government. In La Paz, campuses joined the rebels as President Gutterres Guerra and his cabinet fled. A counterrevolution seems possible and immediate unrest looms.
Frank Trumbull former president of the Colorado and Southern railroad died at a Santa Barbara hotel. He helped develop the C and S system from 1 000 miles of track to over 2 600 miles and spent five years in Colorado coal business. He later handled receivership of the Union Pacific and Denver Gulf separation and served as president of the Colorado Midland.
Washington July 15 farmers received lower prices for principal crops in June with a 1.7 percent drop. Despite the decline the index remains over 20 percent higher than a year ago and well above two and ten year benchmarks.
SPA Belgium July 18 The allied prime ministers decided not to insist on a reply to the coal delivery ultimatum at 3 p m today extending the time until tomorrow in Germany.
Sophia Maddux aged 59 of 791 Madison Avenue died Sunday evening at her home after several months illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Shaffer & Gay chapel with Christian Science readings. She is survived by a daughter Mrs DuMae.
Fifty two delegates from George Vroman post of the American Legion were chosen to attend the state convention in Sheridan August 3 4 and 5. A list of alternates was approved to replace any delegates unable to go. Most Cooper delegates will travel by car and a transportation committee led by W C Conger was formed to arrange rides. The delegation will meet July 23 to select issues for submission at the July 26 post meeting in Cheyenne.
Moscow said Soviet forces occupied Minask on the morning of July 11 after fighting with Itvadan Bolsheviks. The London report notes Minask fell earlier this month and confirms the capture as of July 13.
SPA Belgium July 13 The Russian Soviet government had not replied by afternoon to Allies request for armistice with Poland. Ladislas Grabski Polish premier arrives in Warsaw from Spa bearing assurances that Poland will receive ample arms and munitions if Russians delay or refuse.
Governor Cox and Franklin D. Roosevelt, Democratic nominees for president and vice president, will confer with President Wilson at 10 40 o clock Sunday morning at the White House. Arrangements were made by long distance telephone. The meeting will discuss campaign plans and is the first among Wilson Cox and Roosevelt.
Cox and Roosevelt preside over plans for a vigorous campaign run starting in mid August. Roosevelt to leave the navy department around August 1 while Cox stays as governor. Bryan’s lack of endorsement noted, but he sends congratulations to Cox.
Justice Halley of the District of Columbia supreme court dismissed proceedings by Charlee Fairehilda of New York, president of the American Constitutions League, seeking to block ratification of the suffrage amendment and test the equal suffrage law. The court ruled it had no authority to review legislative ratification or the amendment’s validity.
Natrona county sheriffs force arrested J B Newberg who posed as a minister and ran a confidence game on travelers along the Yellowstone Highway between Casper and Powder River. He paid a 150 fine plus costs in Judge W E Ohina court and was warned by deputies to stop, with police vigilance to continue.
Evidence tied three men A B Ash R Eads and Eimer J Lorrow to idle habits in Casper. They received 10 day sentences in the city jail after police court officials investigated suspicions of whiskey selling. Police noted empty bottles and days of loafing as the men admitted not working for 30 days.
Police blotter records show two intoxication incidents in the last 24 hours. Thomas Shawyer paid a fine of 815 for public intoxication occurring last night during a minor celebration at Dowvetow Halley street. He is released on a 50 bond.
