On July 3 Cheyenne reports 1003 acres near Torrington including university state and school lands sold by the state of Wyoming. The body of Frank F E Hanson killed in an airplane fall Thursday was escorted from Day's funeral chapel to Northwestern railroad station by former and current Blue Jackets and refinery workers. Rice Dorman company band played during the procession. Hanson a first class quartermaster in naval aviation and a qualified pilot served as instructor and tester at several fields during the war and saw 15 months of service in France and Ireland before his death en route to Viwein Iowa.

Woman Lost After Alighting From Train Near Walcott Junction
Miss Regina Jensen of Baratoga Wyoming was left on the tracks after being permitted to alight from Union Pacific No 19 west of Walcott Junction. She wandered about three miles west of Walcott in fear of dangers, signaled for help, and was picked up by a westbound freighter train. She returned to Walcott the next morning as authorities consider possible action against the railroad.

Motorcycle Rider Injured in Fence Crash at Fair Track
Ray Ideen, a Midwest refinery pipefitter, crashed his motorcycle into a wooden fence on the Natrona county fairground track while tuning up for the Irish-American athletic meet. He suffered a fractured collarbone and abdominal wounds and was hospitalized. his brother Elmer Ideen is also in the same hospital after a recent injury.
