Lader Pyritic System Ores to Be Treated at New Grand Forks Smelter

United States mining engineer Harry Gager announces a Grand Forks project to build a new process smelter using the Lader pyritic system to treat low grade ores at about 1.50 per ton. The system claims higher heat from sulfur burning and hot blast, enabling higher silica slag and precious metal recovery. Operations already exist in Ward and Leadville and Atlanta with plans to expand to 1,000 tons daily after proving boundary ore results. The Idaho shaft in Greenwood district shows ore at 40 feet.
