Boundary Railway Extension resumes work in Similkameen

C P R plans rapid resumption of the Boundary branch toward Spence's Bridge with Oscar Englund and a 20 member field crew locating grades. The route now runs from Rock Creek to Keremeos Princeton and on to Spence's Bridge with potential first contract for 150 miles. A freight car theft of food items occurred Sunday night amid the work preparations.

Sneak Thievery Reported at Local Residence and Hotel

Complaint of theft in town cites entry to Mr. S. Mayall home last Friday with numerous edible goods removed. Saturday night the same culprit or group also accessed the Cosmopolitan hotel and seized food provisions from available supplies.

Massive Log Boom Destroys Dam and Floods River Scene

A Grand Forks dispatch reports a single to one and a half million saw logs swept from a boom across the Kettle River near the Granby Smelter dam. The flood damaged two temporary bridges and a coffer dome, delaying the dam’s completion by about a month with an estimated $6,000 loss.

Jeffries and Corbett to Fight for World Heavyweight Title
