Open Door Policy Dominates Southern British Columbia Board Session
The Associated Boards of Trade of Southern British Columbia held their third annual session at Greenwood with over forty delegates from fifteen boards. C. Gallo of Greenwood was elected president and H. W. Jackson of Rossland secretary treasurer. They reaffirmed open door railway policies, debated chartering lines from the United States, and discussed coast to Kootenay rail construction plus measures on rates, mining interest, and provincial representation. A banquet and numerous resolutions followed, including proposed county redivisions and calls for interior supreme court sittings.
