Tenders Open for Cascade Tunnel Rock Work
Eight or ten bids were received for the Cascade Water Power and Light Co. tunnel project, now under advisement. The 400 foot tunnel will move 20 000 cubic yards of rock with an estimated cost of 40 000 to 50 000 dollars. The contract award is not expected before Monday or Tuesday. English residents of Chicago contributed 51 000 dollars to the Canadian patriotic fund.
