Cascade Power Plant Delayed Until Next Fall

Cascade Water Power and Light Co informs Columbia city council that its plant will not be fully operational until next fall. G. J. Simmons of Cascade notes Grand Forks has superior natural advantages. George McKago, with Strathcona Horse, was the shortest sworn man at Nelson at 65 inches. T H A Williams of Kasle measures 75 inches as the tallest. Rev J R Robertson of Grand Forks preached two sermons here in exchange with Rev Jos McCoy. Notice of Proposed BC Telegraph Line Company Incorporation

A notice states that a company will ask the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the next session to grant incorporation. The proposed act would authorize constructing equipping maintaining and operating telephone and telegraph lines across the province and to erect poles and related works for a provincial communication system.

Cascade Citys Attract ions Magnificent Water Power

Cascade City plans a major hydroelectric development with a 400 foot long dam 50 feet high a 16 by 13 by 1000 foot flume and tunnel two 8.5 feet diameter 2000 foot long water pipes and a 156 foot head. Power expected 10000 horsepower with total plant cost about 500000. Bc 1899 notice invites land and utility rights and possible amalgamation with local telephone lines.
