Saloon Burned in Rose Hill Area
A saloon building erected by E. A. Gasho in Rose Hill was burned to the ground at 1 am Tuesday. Philip Justus of Morristown had rented it for a quart shop, moved in Monday, and found the loss on Tuesday morning with liquors ruined. The incident sparks debate over temperance methods, with calls for lawful action. The Central Union Telephone Co opened a new toll line through Indiana's gas field, linking Muncie Fort Wayne Marion and Hartford City to the Wabash-Indianapolis line from last year. A McKinley Club will organize here Wednesday with a Band Wagon ride invitation.
