Indianapolis Journal reports Hal to the county editor editor Boland was struck after warnings to drop his name from the Laurel Review. Day, a Civil War veteran and prominent Republican, drew a revolver and fired after Boland attacked him. Boland, former Cart. resident and Henleys worker, had long stirred local politics.
