Cyrus Cox completes six years as Ripley township trustee, delivers books to Jesse Henley, and hosts a closing supper. Notable gains include two new school buildings, the Ridge and Carthage campuses, funded largely by the township. costs totaled about 25,000 and 21,000 dollars respectively, with all but 600 dollars paid as of the January distribution.

Rushville and Carthage Play to Tie in Saturday Football

An afternoon game between Rushville High School and Carthage High School ended in a 6 to 6 tie. Referee Payne and Johnson oversaw a contest marked by a Rushville touchdown on a fake play and a late Carthage score after a fumble near the goal line. Detroit and Cincinnati executives meet for annual board election

W P Holliday and W W Kurtz of Detroit and J H Duncan J T Duncan and H W Wrigley of Cincinnati met Friday at the United States Board and Paper Mills for the annual election of officers and directors. No changes were made with Holliday as president Wrigley as vice president Duncan as secretary treasurer and Ed N Hill as general manager. The board expressed satisfaction with management and ongoing improvements.

At the ME Church Sunday school reported 104 attendees with a 1.75 collection. Morning sermon titled Looking at the Unseen. Evening talk continued the Prodigal son series The Prodigal at Home The Prodigal in a Far country and The Prodigal's return. Junior League to hold a praise service next Sunday.
